You need more than just a website

Virtually every business has a web presence these days.  But most just don't work.  An effective website will enable the visitor to quickly identify that they are in the the right place to solve their problem.  It's quick and easy for them to locate the information they need to make an informed decision and it's easy and obvious for them to take the desired action.  And let's not forget the obvious; it better look great!

You need to be found!

Search Engines change their algorithms constantly.  That means that what worked today to get you to the top of the search engines will not work tomorrow.  In fact, Google changes the way they rank websites over 200 times per yearSearch Engine Optimization is not something you can just 'do'.  You need to keep updating and adding content and creating good quality links into your website.  And despite common belief, when it comes to website content, less is *not* moreMore is moreYou can never have too much content.  The key is to organize it effectively.

You can't rely on Search Engine Optimization for all your traffic; especially early on!  You need to use Pay Per Click marketing and Social Media strategies to ensure that you are getting a steady flow of traffic immediately and even after the natural traffic picks up, it's always a good idea to continue with *all* types of Search Engine Marketing.

Converting Traffic

Visitors to your website are worthless if they look around and leave without taking action.  Did you know that an *average* website only converts about 1% of the visitors into some form of lead or sale?  How would you feel if you spent a bunch of money on a brick and mortar retail location and 99% of the people who walked in your door left with out buying anything?
